Minimizing your collections!

In the age of digital music, movies, and books a lot of people are streamlining their physical copies of their collections. And if they have collected for as long as I have (around 20 years) their collection is pretty vast and takes up a lot of space. And if your especially like me you have cardboard boxes usually of the milk box variety full of your collections. Some of these boxes are even organized by genre or type. For example if you were a teen in the 90s boxes sorted between your boy band collections and your alternative grunge music from your Seattle grunge phase. Yes I had both. Now days even though I am a mom my collection leans toward the metal/rock variety. Of course some days I live by the louder the better philosophy. Truthfully though my digital player is a smorgasbord of musical genres.

But let’s be honest, there is no way I could physically store all of my favorite music. And like most people I try to stay clutter free. You can go online, and sell your old CDs, DVDs and games that are taking up extra space. This way you can save space and keep the stuff that is most important to you. CD signed by an up and coming band that made it big. Anyone? Of course you want to keep that. But by selling the stuff that is just taking up space or was that bargain bin one hit wonder impulse buy you can have some cash and more space.

Personally I think selling your old stuff that you no longer need or is gathering dust is a brilliant idea. It is like making money for free because it is probably been sitting for a while and most of all you can buy new stuff to listen to and watch with the money you make.
