My first CD ever Soundgarden – Tuesday Tunes #tuesdaytunes

When I was around 13 or 14 years old I got my first stereo with a CD player. Keep in mind this is when they were new.  Anyway when one of the most popular songs being played was ‘Black Hole Sun’ by Soundgarden and a lot of people liked the song. At the time I liked it so much that one of the first CDs I got was the album Superunknown. However what I discovered was that on the album there were actually way better songs such as the title track, ‘The Day I Tried To Live,’ and ‘Fell On Black Days’ which was released as a single but I think my favorite song on the album and probably favorite song by them still is ‘Like Suicide.’

Today’s Tuesday Tunes was actually inspired by a question Rajean (Thank you Rajean!) posted on Facebook this evening asking: “When you think of singers, whose voices stand out for you?” And I immediately thought of Chris Cornell who is the lead singer of Soundgarden and later Audioslave but now thankfully back to Soundgarden. Because while I liked him with Audioslave I LOVE Soundgarden.
