instant pot bbq pork chops

I think I’ve repeatedly said it on the blog lately, the Instant Pot is my favorite thing. Well cooking thing, technically. So what does that mean? I’ve got my own version of a family favorite that I’ve adapted for the Instant Pot! And it’s a seriously easy recipe. So here we go with my Easy Instant Pot BBQ Pork Chops.

Easy Instant Pot Barbeque Pork Chops Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4-6 Bone-In Pork Chops
  • 18oz Bottle of Your Favorite BBQ Sauce – I used Original because it isn’t as sweet as other flavors.
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of canola oil

It’s a pretty basic amount of ingredients, and that is why it is so easy. I’m pretty sure that my next goal is to convert my Slow Cooker Dr. Pepper Pork Chop Recipe for use in the Instant Pot. It’s a family favorite and it’s one that my kids ask for often.

How to make it:

  • Put oil in bottom of Instant Pot and on the Saute setting brown both sides of each pork chop.
  • Place cup of water in the bottom of the pot and insert the wire rack (I just use the one my Instant Pot came with).
  • Layer the pork chops with bbq sauce on top of each one. You also don’t want to stack them directly over another, sort of stagger them.
  • Put the lid on your pot and cook them on Manual for 10 mins. Don’t forget to close the valve!!!
  • After they are done do a Quick Release.
  • Place the pork chops on a pan and put more BBQ sauce on them if you would like and then Broil them for 5 mins.

And there you have it, super easy BBQ Instant Pot Pork Chops. This one was a winner for us and the kids loved it.
